Last night I made some lovely {pink} marshmallow fondant for the first time. It was a very easy to follow recipe and turned out great! Only two modifications I plan on making when I make it again but I’m very pleased 🙂
Now I just need to bake a cake to really see how it does!

Requirement to get my DBA (doing business as) name is to publish a legal notice in the local paper. So here it is! Next step is to officially register the name!

It’s been exactly one year since I’ve made the huge wedding cake. Can’t believe it! It doesn’t feel like it has been so long! I’ve been so busy with my own wedding then being sick in the hospital to moving into our new place…it’s been a wild year.
Looking forward to doing some more big cakes. I will be making some practice cakes soon to get more experience down and try some new things. Stay tuned!
I’ve got my own domain! How fun is that? I’ve always wanted to create one but didn’t take the time out to find the best way to go about it. This was quite easy (and inexpensive I must add) to accomplish. I keep my blog as my site and don’t have to pay a monthly fee for hosting or have to figure out any difficult coding. DONE! Now everyone can enjoy my website at beckycakes.com!
I am well on my way to starting this business the right way. I will be working on getting some pages set up with product and pricing details in the next few days.
